This masterpiece production, staged at the beautifully designed Montgomery Performing Arts Centre will feature new lavish sets and stunning costumes.
The story begins with Cinderella oppressed by her wicked Stepmother and Stepsisters played by stage veterans Emily Caruso, Valari Lagrone Radford, and Foye DuBose. Cinderella played by Anne Caroline Thompson never complains and suffers in silence. One day a great ball for the Prince is announced and all the young ladies of the kingdom are invited. The Stepmother and Stepsisters try to prevent Cinderella from going to the ball but through wonder and magic she appears at the ball with help from her Fairy Godmother. The Prince sees her and falls in love. Cinderella must leave before midnight or her gown will be reduced to rags. In her hurry to flee the ball she leaves behind a sparkling glass slipper. The prince travels to the far ends of the earth in a desperate search for the woman he loves. Witness the magic and beauty of this timeless fairy tale as Cinderella and her Prince live happily ever after.
