Pittypat's Porch Restaurant, established in 1967, is Atlanta's oldest dining establishment. Named for the diminutive and gracious Aunt Pittypat Hamilton of the Gone With The Wind movie. Stepping into the restaurant is like stepping into Aunt Pittypat's own parlor. In fact, a portrait of Pittypat herself hangs in the front entry.
From the moment you arrive at our Rocking Chair Lounge you will be captivated by our porch like feel and southern hospitality. Our hosts will offer you a mint julep (or any other beverage of your choosing) while you rock on the famous upstairs porch, overlooking the main dining room.
Since it opened in 1967, Pittypat's Porch has been the downtown restaurant to visit while in Atlanta. Celebrities, Politicians, and Tourists have all stopped by to experience Pittypat's renowned hospitality and Southern charm. Photos of many famous faces line the stairway leading to the main dining room.
Our menu will take you back to a time that is reminiscent of the antebellum era of Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler. We take pride in always maintaining Pittypat's Porch's balance of Old Southern Charm with New Southern Flavors. Whether you live down the street or miles from home, we welcome you in to rediscover Atlanta's Oldest Restaurant.
